Pasta Marinara Sauce Recipe

Who Said Good Food Takes Too Long Too Cook?

Pasta Marinara sauce doesn't take long to cook. The wonderful, fragrant flavors from the mixed seafood is released instantly, so no need to simmer for hours, and if you buy your marinara mix already prepared, then there is no fuss.

You can use fresh marinara mix available from shops who sell seafood, or frozen mix in the freezer section of your supermarket. Nice and easy.

Note:

This is just the sauce recipe. You'll need to decide on the pasta you want to use with it and how much you will need. Try shell shaped pasta for some fun, or go with spaghetti.

The recipe will make enough for 4 people as a main course. This sauce mix will freeze, but not if the marinara mix was frozen. Be careful about this. I always cook just enough to eat at one meal.

pasta marinara sauce, quick easy dinner recipes PREPARATION TIME: 5 MINUTES
COOKING TIME: 10 MINUTES
SERVES: 4

2 tablespoons of olive oil
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic, smashed and finely chopped.
½ cup white wine
½ cup of fish or vegetable stock
750g (1½ pounds) of seafood marinara mix
½ cup of chopped parsley
salt and pepper to taste

Take a heavy, large frying pan and heat the oil. Add the onion and garlic and cook on a medium heat for about 3 minutes.

Add the wine and stir well.

Add the tomato sauce and the stock. Turn the heat up. Keep stirring the sauce.

Once it comes to the boil add the marinara mix. Cook it for 2 or 3 minutes to make sure the seafood is heated and cooked through.

Season with the salt and pepper and add half the parsley. Take off the heat.

As soon as your pasta is cooked, drained and back in its cooking pot, pour the Marinara sauce over the top and toss it through.

Serve immediately with the remaining parsley sprinkled over as a garnish.

Pasta Marinara Sauce: Just too easy.

"Don't eat anything your great-great grandmother wouldn't recognize as food. There are a great many food-like items in the supermarket your ancestors wouldn't recognize as food... stay away from these."
